“My art connects tradition and modernity – and creates spaces for encounter and diversity.”

I am Véronique Grunder, a painter from France, where I first studied literature while learning mural painting – including faithful reproductions of classical and modern motifs such as Michelangelo or Caravaggio. I completed my training in Lyon (Villeurbanne) with the Compagnons du Tour de France, a traditional association of artists and craftsmen comparable to the German Compagnons du Devoir.

In 2001, I moved to Vienna, where I further developed my artistic work and presented it in exhibitions. Photography, travel, and writing also enrich my artistic practice. In addition to painting, I became interested in video work and was active as a Visual Artist in Vienna from 2004 to 2015 – collaborating with various DJs in clubs and cultural projects.

Today, I conduct my painting courses bilingually (French/German) and design them so that both beginners and advanced participants can enjoy the creative process. My focus is on art as a bridge between generations and cultures.
